From our blog, As We See It, a sampling of recent posts: TreeHugger.com announces its selections for 2010's best green design and architecture. Contemporary homes in Martha's Vineyard is the focus of a new book releasing in May. Signs point to a thawing credit situation for builders and remodelers in Seattle. Some architecture exhibits and events are scheduled to take place in a few commonly ignored cities. A recent Washington, D.C., conference focused on providing architecture to underserved communities.

Chances are that by now, as a Big Builder reader, you've heard about the 2010 Housing Leadership Summit that's happening May 10-12 in Chicago. However, you probably haven't yet heard about another special part of the program.

For the past two days I've been totally immersed--OK, well, maybe almost drowning--in work on a feature for our annual private builder report, which is coming out in the May issue of Big Builder. Of course, there would've been a bit less work had my computer not zapped the entire document on Tuesday, forcing me to write the whole story over again from scratch on Wednesday.
